Money and national identity

On 2005-12-8, the Globe and Mail (Canada) printed a story "Winning banknote images stun some Swiss", originated by Bloomberg News. Apparently the winning entry for the design of the next generation of Swiss banknotes features images of the solar system, a human embryo, and a few other things. This has generated some controversy (a lot of people wouldn't want to see an embryo when paying for things). Above is one side of the future 10-franc note, courtesy of the Swiss central bank's website. What do you see featured on the banknote? If you haven't already decided, do it now before reading further.

. . . . . . . do not read further unless you've decided on what you saw . . . . . .

I saw doughnuts. I'm Canadian.

They are apparently blood cells.
